Your files never leave your device
Most PDF sites upload your document to their servers to process it. Local Pro PDF does not. Every tool here runs entirely in your browser.
This isn't a promise we ask you to trust — it's how the app is built:
- There is no upload. Local Pro PDF has no endpoint that receives your files. Nothing is sent over the network to be processed.
- No server storage. Your document lives only in your browser's memory while you work, then it's gone.
- Static code, one way. The app's code (including any WebAssembly used for compression or passwords) is downloaded to your device once. It carries code in — never your files out.
- Analytics, if any, see page views only — never the contents of your files.
You can verify it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run any tool. You won't see your file being uploaded, because it isn't.
The iPhone app
Local Pro PDF for iPhone works the same way, and collects nothing:
- Camera and photos stay on the device. The app asks for the camera so you can photograph a page, and for your photo library only if you choose an existing picture. Those images are cropped, straightened and turned into a PDF on the phone itself.
- No account and no upload. There is nothing to sign up for, and the app has no server to send documents to. It works in airplane mode.
- No analytics or tracking. The app does not collect usage data, identifiers or diagnostics, and nothing is shared with third parties.
- You decide where the PDF goes. Saving opens the iOS share sheet, so the file only lands where you send it.
